The Organisational Capacity Assessment & Certification (OCAC) process is intended to capture the strenghts & weaknesses of the Lebanese Red Cross as a whole in relation to a wide range of organisational capacities. The tool is intended to be used by many other Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies & the attributes are designed with an average organisational growth curve in mind.
The participation of the team was critical for the validity of the assessment exercise as it are the individuals within the organisation who are best placed to recognise & reflect upon the organization's strenghts & weaknesses.
The team addressed organisational characteristics & attributes that are very basic & are widely accepted as being vital for any organisation.
The exercise turned out to be an easy task than expected since this is not about rocket-science but rather about common sense.
